Well, this was my fourth show of this tour, and it was arguably the best. First night Philly still might have been a tad better, but this was just an amazing night.
It was energtic, Bono's voice was strong, and the crowd -- with the exception of the dopes in my section who sat during The Fly -- was great.

Of course you all know about Wild Honey by now. It was fun . . . still needs work, but it was a neat thing to see. Bono had the lyrics taped to the stage, but really didn't "stare" at them until he lost his place in the final verse. It was still really neat. (By the way, did Daniel Lanois really need to be a part of that?)

Edge broke two guitar strings . . . first during Sunday Bloody Sunday, second during Streets. Bono sang "Edge is fixing his guitar" during Sunday, and Streets didn't miss a beat.
Streets is always a religious experience, but this night is was as powerful as I've ever seen. Never felt an arena shake like that.

Bono sang the "We'll shine like stars . . . " ending twice during the longest ending to With or Without You I have ever heard.
Bono also really screwed up the second verse of New York, which was kind of a downer. People still don't seem to get this song. I like it, but I can see how it's tough to get into with all the shift changes in the song.

Kite is becoming one of U2's all-timers . . . unbelievable song, and when they nail it like they did this show, it is very moving. Speaking of moving, they played Bad again, and, well, everyone knows how special that song is.

I thought with it being the last show they'd come back out after Walk On, and they teased us for a while, keeping the house lights down for 6-7 minutes, but they never came back.

Oh, well. It was a hell of a night and it's been a hell of a tour. Can't wait til they come back in the fall.
