AH! This is a concert that I had looked forward to for quite some time. It did not disappoint. The entire production was so theatrical, yet there was a true connection between the band and the audience via the music. As evidenced by the way that they took the stage, they are the undisputed champions of rock. I have read the reviews of the experts of this show and many of them simply do not get it. U2 is making a statement in all that they do and if you don't feel like hearing a statement then just sit back and enjoy the music of the most talented band of all time.
It would be impossible to attend a U2 concert and hear every song that you wanted to hear (if you are a true fan), but they did a pretty darn good job. The only thing close to a disappointment was that they did not sing "If God Will Send His Angels" in its entirety. However, this grants justification for me to catch this tour again when it hits Atlanta in November.
All I am saying is give POP a chance.
