It's tough thinking that the tour is over for me, no more U2 for who knows how long. Thanks to kind souls on the U2tours mailing list my wife and I got GAs for our last 360 show. Didn't do the all-day wait this time but ended up in a great spot; TCF is a lot smaller than Soldier Field!
The show itself was magnificent. The setlist may have been unremarkable (aside from "Stand By Me") but the band put everything into the performance. Bono was amazing--best band intros ever! The rain poured down and the crowd and band weren't fazed; if anything, it made the whole experience more magical. Bono's "Purple Rain" intro to "Streets" was so amazing, as was "Hallelujah". Such an incredible communal feeling last night; we were brought to tears, and now all I can think about is the long wait until the next tour. No other band can do this to me. After two decades and 13 shows I still feel like U2 is by far the greatest musical experience on Earth, every single time.
