I had not seen U2 since 93 at Cardiff and both me and my wife were of the opinion that this Twickenham show was certainly a better night. I am not the biggest fan of stadium shows but this one was special due to the class of U2 and the enthusiasm of the crowd on the night. From where we were in the West Stand the sound was great until the encore when Bono was drowned by the music. I was also disappointed by the 2nd Vertigo and a lack of 40 or Party Girl.
Sorry to be predictable but the highlight for me was 'Streets'. To see 90%+ of the 70000+ crowd all clapping and singing along will stay with me for a very long time. Just wish I had tickets for more shows.
By the way - we both thought that Athlete were brilliant - just a pity that a few people around us did not appreciate them.
