U2 plays its second show ever in the cavernous AT&T Stadium, which was known simply as Cowboys Stadium when the 360 tour played here in 2009.
The recent terror attack in Manchester is still on the band's hearts and minds tonight. During the opening song, "Sunday Bloody Sunday," Bono sings "For the streets of Manchester with heartache, we say no more!" Bono namechecks Kirk Franklin during "I Still Haven't Found...." (Franklin is a Christian artist whom Bono collaborated with in 1998, and whose gospel choir sung with U2 during the latter's 2002 Grammy Awards performance of "Walk On".)
As he did in Houston two nights earlier, Bono again thanks President George W. Bush and wife Laura for their work in the fight against AIDS. Bono had visited the President at his ranch in Crawford, Texas, earlier today.
The setlist continues to get tweaked. "Bad" moves back to the pre-Joshua Tree portion of the show, while "Ultraviolet" and "One" are moved into the first encore. The last song on the printed set list is "The Little Things That Give You Away," but the band drops that and ends the show with "I Will Follow."
