Opening night of the Popmart tour is a rough affair. The band soldier through numerous missteps. After a failed attempt at "Staring At The Sun," they stop the song and begin again. During "Please," Larry plays the main drum line from "Sunday Bloody Sunday."
Footage from opening night is featured in the ABC network special U2: A Year In Pop, which airs the following night, April 26th. The special ends up being one of the lowest rated programs for the week.
