Comments: U2 opens up a run of four shows at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. The layout of the arena includes an unusually large general admission space, and there are reportedly close to 6,000 fans with GA tickets. If true, that would make the floor at this venue 3-4 times bigger than most North American venues.

During the second set, Bono brings a female fan on stage to dance during "Mysterious Ways," but says she's "too funky" for him and leaves her to dance with The Edge.

U2 plays "Two Hearts Beat As One" -- Bono says it's in response to a fan request outside the arena earlier in the day. It's just the second performance of the song this year, and the first on the e-stage. Bono tells the audience that he wrote it at Chris Blackwell's house in Jamaica while visiting there with Ali.

The Meerkat segment is canceled tonight due to what seems like poor connectivity/WiFi in the arena. Bono seems to struggle with his voice at times, particularly on "Every Breaking Wave" and "October."

After "City Of Blinding Lights," Bono leads the crowd in singing "Happy Birthday" to Willie Williams, who's celebrating today. He also namechecks Anton Corbijn during "Beautiful Day."
