U2 360 Tour News

U2 has announced a second show in Zurich. It'll take place on September 12, 2010, at Letzigrund Stadium -- a day after the first Zurich show. U2.com presales begin tomorrow, February 2nd. The public ticket sale starts on February 5th.

There are a few newsworthy U2 360 items worth reporting, so let's get to it...

Update: U2 has now confirmed the concert. U2.com member presales start on January 25. A concert promoter in Switzerland has announced that U2 will play Letzigrund Stadium on September 11, 2010.

U2 fans around the world are coming together to donate money toward aid for the people of Haiti.

Edge spoke about U2's plans for Glastonbury and the 2010 U2 360 Tour on Saturday's Dave Fanning show on 2FM radio in Ireland.

KFOG radio in the Bay Area has sent out news of more U2 360 tickets for the Oakland show in its latest "Foghead Email."

In early December, Edge did a lengthy interview with Olaf Tyaransen of Hot Press magazine covering a wide range of topics -- including U2's plans for the 360 tour in 2010.

U2 had the number one tour of 2009, and the number two tour of the decade according to Billboard magazine's charts of overall tour gross revenues. During this decade, U2's tours grossed $844,157,925, about $25 million less than the Rolling Stones. @U2 has more details on U2's tour charts and a full overview of U2's appearances on all of Billboard's year-end lists.

The U2 tour will probably gross $750 million by the time it finishes in 2010, according to band manager Paul McGuinness.

While U2 still seems to be undecided about plans for its next studio release, Edge says some of the band's new material may get played during the U2 360 tour next year with or without a new album.
