Lukas Zara still hasn't gotten over it.
Just being at the U2 concert in Toronto was a thrill for anyone lucky enough to snag a ticket.
But it became more memorable for 10-year-old Lukas when U2 lead singer Bono pulled him up on stage about halfway through the concert.
"I was just amazed to actually get that close," said Lukas, who went to his first U2 concert when he was six.
The magic moment has made it onto YouTube and U2's website.
"I held his hand, he asked me how it was going and I said 'great' and then he high-fived me and asked me what my name was. He then repeated it really loudly and then everyone started to cheer."
Lukas and his dad, Russ, are huge U2 fans. Lukas has been accompanying his dad to the band's concerts for the past four years. He's been to six so far.
They thought their highlight had come a weekend earlier when, after a concert in Chicago, they met three members of the band in front of their hotel and got their autographs.
But Thursday night, Lukas's dad made eye contact with Bono at the end of the song Unforgettable Fire.
The rest was surreal.
"It was totally unbelievable," Russ Zara said.
At a concert in Chicago, Lukas was "bummed" when Bono invited another boy on stage.
This time, when Bono approached over the catwalk, dad saw an opportunity.
"I made eye contact with Bono . . . and he gestured to bring him (Lukas) up," he said. "I had him up on one shoulder and Bono was reaching for him. I boosted Lukas as high as I could and then Bono grabbed him and pulled him up."
Lukas slapped Bono a high-five and held hands with the singer as they walked across a catwalk. They ran around the stage as the song City of Blinding Lights began. Lukas helped Bono pump up the crowd for the song and even tried on Bono's iconic sunglasses before he was reunited with his dad.
"I looked around and everything was in a reddish-bluish shade. It was cool," Lukas said.
After the concert, they were approached by others who took pictures or video of the event.
Videos of Bono pulling Lukas on stage have hit YouTube and a picture of him with the singer also made it onto the band's official website, u2.com.
