While the band delivered an outstanding performance in Glasgow, many seats had restricted viewing, with terrible sound quality, especially to the sides of the stage.

While this is in no way a criticism of U2's outstanding performace it is fair to say that "the music comes first" and with poor mid range and bass, all we could hear from our seats was Bono's voice and The Edge's guitar. Fantastic yes, but unfortunately not good enough to switch on the passionate abandon which I would normally expect to feel from the presence of these guys.

Sadly this is just another one of countless criticisms of Glasgow's SECC. When the whole evening involves not just tickets, but travel, accomodation and babysitters, then I think it's fair to expect more in terms of audio quality from events such as this.
