I can't imagine anyone else coming close to these guys in putting on the best rock show you'll ever see! This was my first show - I've been waiting a long time to watch them, and I have to say it was absolutely incredible. I had unreasonably high expectations, I was sitting up and behind the stage in pretty much the worst seats in the house, and it was still more than I thought possible.

The other two really good shows I've seen were Coldplay and Springsteen. Coldplay could be this good in 12 years if they churn out 3 or 4 more AROBTTH quality albums, but the fact is they're amateurs compared to the Boss and U2. As for the Boss, I had a hard time imagining anyone could be better than him, but U2 just proved me wrong (partly because I like their music more to begin with).

The highlight for me, besides the whole thing, was the Love and Peace, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Bullet, Running to Stand Still bit. SBS is such a great friggin song - sooo much energy! But it's hard to pick a favorite moment from a show like this - it was basically a 2-hr adrenaline rush.

My only lament about the setlist is the absence of 'Bad' - after watching their performance of this song on the Elevation DVD, I can't believe they haven't played it yet this tour. But what can you do when you have 25 years of great music to draw from.

And I will say, in agreement with some of the other reviewers, that the crowd was not perfect (though they were far from dead). The people next to me were some of the "bad" fans. They sat down about half the time, and THEY GOT UP AND LEFT IN THE MIDDLE OF '40'! Unbelievable! As my friend said, "Some souls will never be saved."

Can't wait for tonight - just have to keep drinking water and hope my voice heals.
