We got inside the ellipse/bombshelter and it was a private party that I'll never forget! The atmosphere in there was amazing, the fans were pumped, the setting was so intimate it felt like a club show, that is until you turned around and saw the other 20 thousand people behind you. Thanks to D&S for getting us in and to all our neighbors and new friends. This is a small sample of all the great pics!
I wasn't sure if anything could top GA two rows outside of the ellipse on 10/8 at the Garden on a Saturday Night ... but last night did! The band was feeding off the audience and as Bono said, it didn't feel like a Wednesday! U2 has a special energy when in DC, hell Bono had lunch with the President just hours before the show, and he was obviously energized by it both politically and emotionally.
I really like the Vertigo 3rd leg set list, it just straight up energizes me, and getting two of my old school favorites: I Will Follow & Electric Co back to back was perfect especially because The Edge just lit up those songs tonight. Stuck in a Moment & Miss Sarajevo were great tonight due to Bono Vox. Bullet is a classic to me and Love and Peace is its modern equivalent that lets Larry bang the drums and Adam pound the bass so you can feel it in your spine!
I never thought I could get that close to seeing the entire band together on stage just a few feet away, truly a night to remember always!!!
