Worth our $200 per person seats! My husband and I sat directly behind the stage, not the very best seat in the house but close enough to see facial expressions and feel so connected. We loved the show anyway...especially me!!
I was the girl who threw the United Nations flag to Bono towards the end of the concert. I had been waving it during the second half of the concert hoping he would see it. Well, he saw it! He was standing there with Adam (my two favourite) and motioned for me to toss it to him. So I quickly gathered the flag together and with all my energy I threw towards him. It nearly missed the stage but he was able to reach it. He wrapped it around his neck finishing the song he was singing. (I forget which song he was singing since my brain had just blown a gasket from the excitement of the moment.)
After he finished the song he blew kisses to me with his hands and I returned the gesture. The girl standing next to me asked me if I would try to get my flag back right away and I replied, "No, I put my name and address on it. If he wants to return it to me with a note or something that would be great but I bought that flag just for him and this concert."
I had only seen U2 once before in Indianapolis (my hometown) during The Joshua Tree Tour (1987)when "The Dalton's" performed for the first time. Long time fans will know what I am talking about. To see them all again was such an amazing thrill. This band has so effected me musically, spritually, and politically.
So, great show guys!! The lights, the stage, the music, and most of all the collective energy you bring to this world!
