British band Hurrah! were popular on the indie scene with songs like "The Sun Shines Here" and "Who'd Have Thought" while their song "Sweet Sanity" was received with controversy because its video had two women holding hands. It was banned from American television stations in 1986. Hurrah! opened for U2 during the opening dates of The Joshua Tree tour in 1987.
