Comments: Bono and the Edge accepted the Woody Guthrie Prize on behalf of U2. The Woody Guthrie Prize "is given annually to an artist who best exemplifies Woody Guthrie’s spirit and work by speaking for the less fortunate through music, film, literature, dance or other art forms and serving as a positive force for social change."

As reported by U2.com, During an onstage interview with T. Bone Burnett, Bono recited lyrics to a new U2 song "One Life at a Time." Later, Bono and the Edge performed a six-song set which included snippets of two Woody Guthrie songs, "Bound for Glory" and "Jesus Christ."
