U2's Innocence + Experience tour was the No. 4 tour of 2015 in terms of overall ticket sales. That's according to Pollstar's year-end tour chart listing the top 20 tours of the year around the world and across musical genres.
The I+E tour's 76 shows grossed a total of $152.2 million, for an average of about $2 million per show. The tour sold a total of 1,286,416 tickets, for an average of just under 17,000 per show and more than 58,000 per city. The average ticket price was $118.35, making it the sixth most-expensive show on average. The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac and Elton John all had higher average ticket prices.
The top five tours of the year overall were Taylor Swift ($250.4 million), AC/DC ($180 million), One Direction ($158.8 million), U2 and Foo Fighters ($127 million).
