Hey,
Heart, near the tip, off to house right...amazing!!!!!! Just wanted to let all the complainers know that "The Fly" WAS on the original set list. We saw a copy of it just before they came on. If you noticed, just before "One", Bono told Edge something and then motioned to Fraser (his guitar tech) to bring out the green Gretch. He then said "this is One" and gave the video and sound crew time to queue up the proper sequences. The Fly was scheduled to be in that spot, but was taken out. Probably because Bono's voice was getting a little shaky. Time was not a factor. It was only about 10:55 by that time.
On a positive note, the show was fantastic. Yes, 'Bad" was missed and no 'New Years Day' for both shows was confusing, but everything they did play was fantastic. Funny bit at the beginning when Bono's in ear monitor malfunctioned and it took until UTEOTW to get it right. The fact that Elevation, Beautiful Day and UTEOTW sound so good even though Bono couldnt HEAR the songs being played shows the quality of the live show. Definitely dont miss this show.
Oh, but if you go, go early. We were there at 9 am and we were 75th in line!!! But it was worth the wait just to see the people who cut in line get kicked out by the security team!
