What a show! There's nothing like a stadium full of people singing "Pride" or clapping in unison during "Where the Streets Have No Name." This was my third U2 concert (Lakeland '92, Tampa '92). The band was in excellent form, the stage was out-of-this-world, and the set list was a perfect mixture of old and new.
The band emerged from the mirrorball lemon mothership sporting Jacksonville Jaguars jerseys with "U2" in place of the numbers on the front and back. Each band member also had their name on the back of their jersey ("Bono," "Edge," "Clayton," and "Mullen"). Bono brought a fan onto the B-stage during "If You Wear That Velvet Dress," gave her his jersey and danced with her while the rest of the ban finished the song. At the beginning of "One," Bono chose to help out a fan who was having some trouble with security. He brought the guy onstage and sat him down next to the mirrorball lemon. Adam offered him a bottle of water and the crowd responded to Adam's politeness with a round of applause. The guy didn't sit still for very long; he danced gleefully around the stage as the band played on. At the end of "One," Bono, in a symbolic gesture reflecting the lyric "We get to carry each other," picked the guy up and carried him offstage.
