What a fun time! It has a great show but not one that would top the some of the other shows that I have had the opportunity to see. Miami, where it all began in March, and now it comes to a close. This was my 10th show on this tour. What a real fun time this year.
The show started rough, with Bono confessing during the concert that they had been partying the last couple of nights in celebration for the end of the tour. It was a pleasure to hear "In Gods Country" once again on this leg. It was also fun to see Mysterious Ways pop up in the set list, but without the television babes dancing along from the 1st leg of the tour. There was a point when Bono pulled an audience member on the stage and they played "Knockin on Heavens Door". The band was once again friendly with the fans.
Bono played to the crowd the whole night and was ready for some rest after a long tour. They did not even go off stage for the 2nd encore. Bono said that would be so "old-fashioned". The people in the GA section had a bunch of paper plates with "40" on it, which Bono finally acknowledged with a couple of lines during Walk On.
It was great to be back in the great land on lush woman and tropical fruit. hahaha.
10 shows in all different parts of the world seeing the coolest band on the planet. I started out in Miami and ended in Miami.
1. Ft. Lauderdale
2. Houston
3. Chicago
4. New York
5. London
6. Dublin-Slane
7. Austin
8. Las Vegas
9. Dallas
10. Miami
The best show by far was Houston. Still the best show I have been too.
The best rock performance was in Chicago. Worst sound system was in Ft. Lauderdale. Rough setlist was in New York. Most Historic was in Dublin. Best seats were in Houston for seats and GA for Dallas. Most emotional show was in London. Best pictures were in Dallas. No pictures were in Miami. Best women was in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. Craziest show was in Dublin.
I have had the time of my life and have no regrets. These guys have some meaning in the things they sing about. I wish more bands would do the same. They are the one and only great band. Thank you to a job well done .
Thanks.
Jacob
