U2 Rocked the house! This show like every show I have attended before raised the bar just that much more. A simple stage compared to shows past, but it was elegant in it's simplicity and high-tech light curtains. A full stadium of U2 hungry fans, it sent chills down my spine. Institute opened with a heavy jam, then I recognized it was Gavin from Bush that was the lead vocalist and sure enough they played some Bush songs like Everything Zen which was also good fun. Bono again remembered Micheal Hutchence of INXS for Stuck in a moment. The ONE campaign text message was great, I think they should have left all the names scrolling throughout the encore, but it was cool to see the names, although mine did not show up. I wish I could afford to go again today because it was real good and it was great that Bono mentioned that for the Elevation tour they opened and closed the tour here in Miami, and I went to both shows on that tour.
If you are on the fence about going, then stop thinking. Even some friends which were not big fans loved the show and really liked the mix of old and new.
The VIP members were treated to complimentary drinks and a leather bound notebook, which I will not complain about. I had two green glow sticks which I was flailing the whole show, and when Bono asked everyone to pull their cell phones out and make a milky way galaxy in the stadium, I was tempted to throw one of the sticks across the stadium to simulate a shooting star.... but then I figured if I was caught I'd run the risk of getting kicked out and the show was too good!!
Keep on Rockin'!!
