Hi all. My 19 year-old-brother was the lucky fan Bono pulled on stage to play guitar with U2 for "Angel of Harlem" during Saturday night's show in Dallas. Yes, he ended up with Bono's pink colored shades, which he gave to me as a gift for getting him the tickets and giving him the idea to make a sign.
For those who don't know, the sign said "ANGEL OF HARLEM. In Case you forgot:" then listed the guitar chords for the song. As Bono walked by the ellipse during the first encore, the sign caught his eye, and leaned over and asked my brother "Can you play it?". The next thing we knew, he was pulled up on stage, handed a guitar, and was playing the song on stage with U2. He even got to sing with Bono on the main mic. The crowd seemed really into it. Finally, Bono traded sunglasses with him.
I would really appreciate it if anyone who was there could send me the pictures from that moment. Needless to say, it was one of the most amazing moments of his young musical life. PM me or, or email me at vdevarajan@gmail.com
Thank you all so much, and thank you U2 for an unbelievable moment.
