Let me preface this with some background. I am a working musician for the past 10 years and have played a ton of shows and seen even more. I have been a U2 fan since I was a kid watching MTV play 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' at Red Rocks. But this was my first U2 show. I will honestly say that the Dallas Show this past Saturday was the best concert I have ever been to period!!

It was a virtually perfect performance all around. The sound was incredible. Loud but every note clear as a bell. The LED lighting was great. and the band.... my god, they were on. Bono sounded amazing and had no trouble hitting any notes from any song. Edge absolutely tore it up. Larry and Adam were tight as can be. The best thing about it was there wasn't a dull moment. Even when they slowed it down and discussed politics(which Bono is apt to do) the show still had an intensity to it.

I am from Austin where crowds are a bit jaded. I was very impressed with the Dallas crowd. I know when we play shows, we definitely feed off the audience. U2 is no different. U2 was going to play a good show no matter what. But I believe the super vocal and appreciative crowd helped to ratchet up the bands performance to even greater heights. You could tell half way thru the show that this was a different experience for even them. They weren't just going thru the motions. There were a number of times that Bono had a true look of amazement over the reaction of the crowd. Hell even Adam was constantly smiling.

I have always liked U2 but I am a full fledged diehard now and will see every show in Texas here on out.
