7/16/05: last show in Amsterdam Arena
I've never seen anything like that before, it was spectacular. And the crowd was great. When 'Vertigo' started, the audience started screaming and you saw 50 000 arms in the air. When 'I will follow' started, the audience had gone mad. That was great.
On ' Beautiful Day ' a rather large and strong looking man was picked out of the crowd and stood with Bono on stage. Then the man lifted Bono up and held him in his arms while Bono sang!
Everybody sang along and that sounded great on ' Elevation' when everyone sang ooooooooooohooooooo, oooooooohooooooooooohoooooo..............
It was spectacular when Larry and Bono played a big drum on 'Love and peace' and 'Sunday bloody sunday'. Bono also brought political message on this song while he blindfolded himself with a shawl with the word 'coexist' on it.
Bono sang Pavarotti's operatic verse on 'Miss Sarajevo', which he sang perfectly.
And the lightshow was beautiful, especially on ' The fly' (Bono's outfit was hilarious!) and Yahweh.
And at the end of '40' only Larry was on stage playing a drumm solo and the audience sang. Then Larry got off stage, greeted the dutch goodbye and left the stage.
