Fortunately the temperature isnt that high anymore.
We sat on the left side of the podium. so we could see the boys before they entered the stage.
Than the show began with Vertigo and the crowd went crazy.
After the great oldies came a very impressive version of Elevation. During Beautiful Day Bono invited a big guy who didnt hesistate and carries him while Bono must laugh. After he released Bono he starts to dance on a strange/funny way so Adam cant hold his laugh.
Specially fot the third night they play for us Wild Horses.
Then the new songs came and espacially Love and Peace was great when Bono put a bandana on his head and bang the drums on the B-stage.
Then he put the bandana for his eyes and Sunday bloody Sunday began.
After a kind a short version of Bullet the Blue Sky the greates surpris of this concert and maybe this tour came.
For the first time in history U2 played Miss Sarajevo live without Luciano Pavarotti. The Italian words were sung very impressive by Bono and especially the final very long note made the crowd go crazy.
The first set ended with the Live8 version of One including Unchained Melody and ended with the protection of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on the impressive big screen.
After a very short break my memory went back to the ZooTV/Zooropa tours. Including a light and media show Bono came up in a Russian (I guess) uniform and then they played Zoo Station.
In memory of the late Herman Brood they specially played tonight Original of the Species. After an acoustic version of Yahweh came the first tones of "40"
This song is the only true song for ending any concert of U2 and after a great applausse the people keeped singing:
Hoooow looooong to sing this soooooong!
