I attended the Anahiem,Ca. Show on Friday the 17th. Let me say that I have always loved the
band. I saw the video with Sunday Bloody Sunday at Red Rocks in 1980 and that was it. I saw them
live at the L.A. forum around that time and though my bud and I were a bit puzzed by Bono's stopping the show to hug people we were still treated to a great show.
My review of this 2011 U2, I just don't like Vertigo, Beautiful day, boots on...
It seems they have fished for the next Sunday Bloody Sunday but missed in my opinion. To me
the musicianship has always remained top knotch but the "songs" "the Classics" just aren't there.
Except for: One & She moves and sweetest thing. I love ONE. So my complaint is that I wanted more of the early stuff. The popular songs they did play were fantastic. That stage and the emotional devotion of the fans makes this a show to see any way you cut it. I still think they
should cement their place in music by playing their best stuff and just throw in the filler instead of it dominating.
