The show was fantastic. I am not over-exaggerating when I say it was better than Zoo TV Live From Sydney. The cheap $40 seats had a very good and close view of the stage and the band came over to us many times unlike what some people are saying on u2gigs and others. The sound was much, much better than expected, although it was a bit quiet compared to indoor gigs.
Highlights: Until The End Of The World, Bad, One, Amazing Grace, Where The Streets Have No Name, Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me, Moment Of Surrender
Lowlights: The Edge's many, many guitar mistakes
Other things:
* For some reason you're not allowed to bring bottle lids into the stadium, but you're allowed to bring the bottle.
* The show was not fully sold-out.
* Jay-Z's horn section usually just danced.
* Jay-Z was clearly disappointed with the lack of crowd reaction.
* People in my area in front of me first sat down during a new song (Magnificent) but luckily they didn't leave during Moment Of Surrender.
* There was no real encore. Straight after Walk On finished the Desmond Tutu speech intro to One was played. Straight after Where The Streets Have No Name the alien intro to Ultra Violet or Batman. Was it like this at all the other shows this year?
* Crowd reaction was excellent during Elevation, I Still Haven't Found, Vertigo, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Where The Streets Have No Name and With Or Without You.
* Moment Of Surrender IS a great show closer, despite maybe a few hundred in the stadium leaving. I am glad that they played it instead of cutting the set short like the second night in Brisbane because they were running over time.
* Do They Know It's Christmas? was played straight after I Still Haven't Found NOT just before Stuck In A Moment.
* There were British, Irish and American people everywhere
* I got a program and a red jumper at the show.
* There were a few people selling what I think were bootleg shirts on the street after the show.
* One had the special "hear us coming" part in it.
