Wow! I shouldn't say more, but I will. This was my first concert on this tour and 2nd one ever. I previously attended the Popmart tour in Oakland, and I feel that last night's show in Sacramento was 100% better than Popmart.
I felt like the band was playing with great energy and enthusiasm that was not shown with Popmart. All four seemed so relaxed. I was also impressed with how often Bono made reference to being in Sacramento. I've heard a couple of the other shows on tape and don't recall that much reference.
It seemed like Bono wanted to sing Norwegian Wood at the end of Bad, but the audience gave no response when it seemed Bono wanted them to finish the first verse of the song, so he went into Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses.
I could go on and on, but the last thing I'd like to comment on is No Doubt. I was not excited at all to know they were opening, but I am impressed with the energy Gwen put into their show. She worked to bring the audience to her and it was working. She knew they weren't necessarily her fans but played that to her adavantage. They were definitely a class act themselves. One of the best openers I've seen.
