Where to begin... I think, at the very least, I'll start with WOW! What a kick a** show! This was my first time ever seeing U2 live and it was amazing, partly because we were in the heart, but mostly because they really are one of the best bands in the entire world. What a rush it was to be so close, even if it was only for a brief two hours.
I have seen many great bands in the years that I have been a concert goer, but this is the first time that a performance has brought me to tears - not only once, but twice. The first was during I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For because of numerous personal parallels it holds in my life, as well as Bono's passionate performance of the song. The second was during the finale of Walk On. The lyrics embody so much more than I can express.
Another aspect of the day that brought the whole experience full circle which I cannot neglect to mention were the people I was with. Thank you to Steven and Timothy (the two friends I came with) for encouraging me make the trip out to CA from PA (Philly), it was more than worth it! But mostly thank you Steven for making it possible. And thank you to all of the other incredibly awesome people we met that day in line waiting to experience the heart.
I anxiously await the next tour (whenever that may be) and thank U2 from the bottom of my heart for their performance and all of the memeories that I can't ever leave behind!
