I got a lot of guff about a slightly negative San Diego review. The sound was bad (because of the arena) and it all seemed a little canned. Plus, I was up in the seats. For LA, I was down near the tip of the heart and it was so much better. Just being closer makes it feel more electric. And even more important than that, the sound was much improved. Still not up to when I saw them on Farmclub, but pretty impressive nonetheless. Bono really pours it out on stage. It was amazing to watch him over his shoulder to see what the experience was like for him. I couldn't tell if the crowd was into it, I was too busy fighting off drunk/drugged "fans" who decided that they wanted to push their way up front even though they came late. It was pathetic. 99 percent of the crowd on the floor was great, but the one percent... Another thing: if you're short, stay back. My girlfriend is 5'10 and she still had a hard time seeing. But for me, it was amazing. And I Kite and Stay.
