It is hard to believe that the show has already come and gone. I ordered my ticketes in February and now that seems like so long ago. Nonetheless, the show was incredible.

We got to Arrowhead stadium right at 5:00 which is when they opened the gates to park. $9.00 to park. Yikes! A little much, but I decided I wouldn't boycott the parking system this time. U2 was doing their sound check right as we drove up. Although we couldn't get into the stadium until 6:30, myself and a number of other people found a great view of the front of the stage through a side gate. They rehearsed Mofo and Give It Away on the main stage and then rehearsed Discotheque and Velvet Dress on the satellite stage. That was definately worth arriving early.

This was the first night for the new opening act Fun Loving Criminals...you know, the scoopy snack guys. They were definately nervous and even let us know they were. They were an OK band, but could do a little more to pump the audience up.

OK, I've drawn this out. The show! Nothing less than...WOW! U2 was HOT and appeared to be very relaxed. As each show goes by they seem to be getting more and more comfortable with it. The set list, I believe, is roughly the same as the Carolina one. Do You Feel Loved was dropped again. The kareoke song was changed. The Edge led us all in Niel Diamond's 'Sweat Caroline'. I think he got a kick out of how well we sang it, just like Bono got a kick out of how well the audience sang Stand By Me.

Most of the new songs are incredible live, especially Miami. He picked a girl out of the audience to dance with on the runway to the satellite stage during this song. She was completely in shock. This made her life! The lemon was perfect. I don't know if it was just me, but I didn't hear the Sunday Bloody Sunday beat in Please...which, by the way, is another great song live.

The only complaint I had about the entire show was that it ended too quickly. Perhaps abruptly is the word. One is a great closer, but I don't think anybody realized that that was actually it since the screen and the arch glowed for another five minutes afterwards. We all wanted more. I will definatly try to catch another show this year.

One last thing, a lot of the downtown highways and streets were closed off today since U2 decided to use Kansas City for the filming of the Do You Feel Loved video. You know you are big when you can close down major highways and roads at the last minute. Their was no warning and all the commuters were unhappy about it. Oh well!

My word of advice to those who don't have tickets "Go see the show before it is too late. The ticket prices are worth it." It was definately a rush being there.
