Best U2 show in years! As much as I loved the HTDAAB album, I was not a big fan of the Vertigo tour. I saw two shows back in ‘05 and was left very under whelmed. The mood of those shows were dark, it was poorly lit, poor stage design and crappy sound. I needed this 360 show to renew my faith. This was a huge improvement in all areas. Visually stunning, sound was great , even for the big top tent we know as B.C. Place. Big, colourful and fun. Sort of like Popmart on ‘roids. The song selection was great. I disagree with Billy B. You can never have enough of Until The End Of The World. Our area on the floor went completely nuts when we heard the opening riff of that song. Hearing The Unforgettable Fire and Ultraviolet was a real treat. The band really brought their A game tonight, The Edge seemed quite playful and really into the show. Maybe because his parents were there in the red-zone.
I can’t wait to see this show outdoors next summer, either in Seattle or Edmonton.
