This was my first U2 show, and I have to say, I was blown away! I drove up from Portland, Oregon to see it and it was worth it. I understand and agree with a lot of the previous comments, but I paid $33 US dollars to see this incredible show, so NO disappointment here! I may have been pissed if I spent hundreds and had a lousy view or service, but in this economy $33 bucks was just right. I was high up on the side of the stage, but could see pretty good.
I never expect old material at concerts - that's for bands that are washed up. But they did do some old stuff - I enjoyed Unforgettable Fire a lot, with the fire effect with Bono in the digital flames - cool! I've never seen anything like that giant video funnel that expanded and contracted - WOW. I also felt like they put everything out there, sang and played their hearts out, even though they were probably exhausted from the long tour. I do wish they would have finished the show on a more upbeat song, but I'll definitely catch the next tour to see what amazing things they have in store their fans.
