Neil Young showed up unannounced backstage. There were no seats left for this show. None. U2 at the Boston Garden on Saint Pat's Day. Neil sat stage left up in
"obstructed" view with his bus driver. Surrounded by no one. He thumped his leg, in that Neil Young way, on the beat. Bono ocassionally played up to him, not obvious to the crowd. Neil seemed fascinated by both the Big Production and also the acoustic set. At some point in the tour, Neil did go along as a pal, not an act. Don't know if this show was where it started. It was a great night.
