I have been an avid U2 fan for years & years, having been based in the country most of the time this was my first U2 concert experience!! And oh what an experience it was!! I have never been so awestruck at a concert of any sort.
Bono plyed the crowd like we were friends of his & the set was unbelievable!! I was so pleased that they sung so many of their older songs, I just wish I could have been closer to the stage. The best part of the whole show was their extremely moving tribute to Michael Hutchence. They were brilliant & if they ever come to Australia again I will DEFINITELY be purchasing a ticket!!! (The only complaint I have was the ticket prices, I bought one of the cheaper tickets, as it was all I could afford at the time, but even that was $100, even Bono expressed his disappointment about ticket prices in the press interviews the next day.)
The best song of the night was my favourite & yours...One...seeya.
