My first religious experiecne at a concert was October 23, 1987 when I saw the band for the Joshua tree tour.

I never thought that anything could top that experience, but then I saw U2 in the States on the first leg of Popmart before I left for a trip to Europe. After the show, I knew I had to see them again, so I spent a good deal of my time in Europe trying to track down some tickets.

The band at the Cologne show was more than wonderful. They played better than they did in the States, and I enjoyed myself fully. The only problem was that my friend and I seemed to be the only ones having a good time. Even when the Edge sang 'Daydream Believer' the crowd only stayed with it for about half a verse. The moving version of 'Where the Streets Have No Name' was the only thing that got some of the people moving around. The best thing about the lameness of the crowd was that they at least gave my friend and I plenty of room to dance.
