TOOK TIK TIK TOOK TIK TIK TOOK TIK TIK: This is what the beginning of Vertigo sounds like before U2 blasts into the mother of all rock and roll beasts.
I am reliving the whole concert in my head and I am still in a U2 coma. The best show I have ever seen was The Rolling Stones at the same venue. Tonight, however, was fantastic, 33 times better than the Stones.
Bono made a reference to the Stones tonight and he went as far as to say "we are a lot better than that crap band." He was joking obviously. In terms of the live action, U2 should be on the next box of Wheaties. These guys have to be in somewhat good physical shape to do these sorts of shows every night. I would like to meet Bono's personal trainer.
Dallas, however, I was disappointed with. You could hear him play and test U2 songs. He tested the entire set list. You could recognize the riffs of Miracle Drug, Sunday, Streets, City, etc. What a spoiler. The Edge should say something to him.
Finally, I heard a rumor from the U2 roadie that they will be playing in 2006 and they are booking dates in INDIA. INdia? U2 in India? Bono saying namaste to the Indians, or "unos, dos, tres, namaste." Namaste is a typical greeting in India for those who do not know.
What a show. If they go to India, I will be there in a heart beat. The roadie said that they will play shows in Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta, and Chennai. I have a hard time believing that.
Vertigo II was out of control. Imagine 90,000 people singing "kneel." That's what it was. the down point of the show was the silence between the songs.
I am Mr. Opecha Roa. These are my stories.
