I saw U2 at their third show, in Denver, and now towards the end of the first leg of the North American tour. In a nutshell I would say that there really weren't a whole lot of significant differences between the two performances.

About the only thing different that I could notice was that maybe the band was a little more at home on the monsterous stage in Madison, than in Denver.

Oh yeah, it was A LOT warmer in Madison too!

Musically the band sounded good, save for sound problems with Bono's headset mike while performing Miami, I think. There was all kinds of static and feed back. So much so, that he ended up ripping it off, and using a hand held. I just wish he would have done it sooner.

I think seeing the show in Denver helped me to enjoy the Madison show more. In Denver I was hoping to here some more old U2 songs, and left somewhat dissappointed. Knowing what to expect enabled me to enjoy this set, about as much as I could.

That, and the fact that they didn't do the Sunday Bloody Sunday tease, when transistioning from Please.

I still would like to hear them drop Velvet Dress, and opt for Do You Feel Loved?

Another interesting thing at the Madison show was the number of scalpers with fists full of tickets. Newspaper reports the next day told of ticket prices, before the show, dropping as low as $10! It's nice to see the scalpers/brokers get to eat it for a change.
