This was my first U2 show and four days before my 17th birthday. I had already been a fan since the release of October and couldn't believe I was able to score tickets AND get my father's approval to even go. The BoDeans were amazing! I have since become a devoted fan and highly recommend "Joe Dirt Car" to anyone.
As soon as U2 took the stage you could feel the energy in the room and I clearly remember my heart racing and I could feel the hair on the back of my neck stand as they tore into Streets. My friend, Lance, and I had seats four rows up on Adam's sise and about one minute into the show the fans started pouring onto the floor and the GA chairs were kicked to the side. A security guard grabbed my arm and told me to go back to my seat or he would have me removed and my friend grabbed my other arm and pulled me to the floor where we ended up two people deep right in front of Adam. The power and magic of the show left me speechless for days and I even had my hair cut like Larry after the show. I remember seeing Adam doing back up vocals on "Bullet". He was singing "Sky" over and over. Amazing. This show changed my life and really turned me into a die hard U2 fan. I have never felt such powerful emotion at a concert since.
