Now that was so long ago but I still remember the Edge's Guitar beated in by chest. I was 21 years old and so into U2. I loved how Bono extended himself beyond the Rock and Roll Superstar peronna. His music meant something...he was trying to change a world that needed changing! I had designed my own T-Shirt that said, "NO MORE WAR! And everyone cheered as I walked by. I will admit, Bono was sooo handsome to me in mind, body, and spirit. He put on a very energetic show. He ran from one side of the stage onto these wing-like ramps and then ran to the other side. If anyone was ever close to flying, it was him. I do remember him wearing a sling on his right (or left) arm and having a stiched cut on his beautiful strong chin. he had fallen the evening before while perfoming and injured himself. I remember during this first Joshua Tree Tour that the press was comparing the popularity of U2 to that of The Beatles. Yes, people were in a hungry fever at this concert. There were a lot of body guards. I don't have anything else to say other than...I cried at times listening to Bono's moving voice. I hope to see them perform again someday soon. It was the only U2 concert I ever went to.
