This show was slightly tainted for me by the fact that my girlfriend was nearly moshed to death in the area just outside the moshpit. We got lifted out and had to go to the back of the standing area to watch the rest of the show, this having stood on the same spot for 5 hours to ensure a good vantage point, was very disappointing! i love to jump about as much as the next but it was so cramped that it was just ridiculous. The whole idea of having the bottom tier of the stand and the pitch as GA was scandalous, the people at the stadium should sort this out. The pushing because of this was awful. i feel like i missed about 4 songs tryin to get out of the moshing . What I did see was a fantastic performance by u2. I thought the sound was good and the boys were on fire. I last saw them at Slane and while the emotion of those shows meant they were special, this was also superb. Anyway, the new stuff was brilliant especially LAPOE. This is why they are considered the greatest live band of all time. Great show.
