My first U2 show and they were superb. Bono's performance was electric and his voice superb. Didn't miss a note all night. Opened with Vertigo and after it he said this is the town were they call the whites the blacks. Talked about coming through in Manchester and how the people supported them. The eletric co. was a highlight as it was rippin. Beautiful Day had a lyric changed to Green, white and orange right infront of you and running to stand still had it's changed to reflect a partner of a serviceperson I think. Bullet the Blue sky was messed up a bit. Snippets included Blackbird, hands that built America and joy divisions love will tear us apart again. Highlight for me was Sunday Bloody Sunday complete with new rap about his co-exist headband. The crowd were abusmal. Bono said at the end is there anybody out there. People around me hardly clapped. No singing to any songs. No Hola's, the crowd wouldn't sing I'm still running back or oh, oh,oh at Pride. Terible shame as I thought the boys performance was stunning. Was that Larry Mullin Junior singing and Adam Clayton working the crowd? Kepp it up boys and can't wait for the DVD. Lets hope the next crowd appreciates the best rock band ever inn their prime.
