Waited for this for ages, and to start with it was a bit of a flop. I expected some sort of entertainment with the videos to tease the crowd into thinking the band are coming, just to hype it up.
But no the lads just walked on and played a mediocre Vertigo. For me it didnt get going till COBL, and then being close to the back found the sound to be quite bad, not sure if it was the acoustics or speakers, but the Edge did drown out Bono.
The crowd was really poor, but feel that not enough was done at the outset to get attention. The set list was brilliant,25 years of U2 in 2 hours, but the sound quality let it down. think I would have been happier at an outside gig.
Second vertigo a masterpiece should have been 2 hours earlier. Thumbs up for the band, thumbs down for the venue.
