My second ever U2 show, my girlfriends first - What a mindblowing experience.
We turned up about 2:30 - We were a fair way back in the line, but as a result of some bad GA security procedures etc, Bec and I ended up right near the b-stage on adams side! (I do feel for those of you who were screwed over)
We didnt have wristbands though, so we darent not leave - just as well we didnt drink any fluids.
The Bravery and Snow Patrol were great, I dont think Ive ever seen better support acts.
The show itself was brilliant - The sound quality was amazing. I had been a bit worried due to the complaints about Brussels, whatever it was it seemed to be in the past! Highlights for me were City of Blinding Lights, Running to stand still, Zoo Station and the Fly. The ZOOTV imagery was spectacular. By this point I was in heaven. Bono seemed in a great mood, and cracked some funny jokes throughout the night.
The late sunset this time of year detracted from the lighting side of things, but by the encore, it had finally got dark and the production was in its full splendour. I was surprised there was no bright lights for streets.
We had a great time. I wasnt able to take any photos from this show as the batteries in the camera were stuffed. That was really annoying!
