From my position in the second tier with side access of the stage I was plagued with a few persistent questions: Why had I shelled out £95 for such lousy tickets? Why had I hired a car to drive to Manchester from London when I could have stayed at home and watched tv? Why hadn't I brought more clothes? Why was the pit in front of the stage half empty when U2 took to the stage? Why were there so many fights in the crowd? Was Bono's back making him feel unwell? Of course as the concert progressed I got more into it but as the pics show, the atmosphere was sadly lacking. Nice tribute to Ian Curtis at the end.
