I was visiting family in Vancouver that March. My cousins all had tickets for some band I had never heard of called U2. I was just a kid, had never been to a concert before, and it sounded like a good opportunity to get away from the old folks so I went along.
I wish I could provide more detail but it was thirty years ago, all I remember was being blown away by the energy and they were so confident for a group of guys barely older than me. Bono strutted the stage daring you not to love him. I was blown away and have been a life long fan ever since.
