U2 was fantastic. Small city, HUGE crowd, made for a lot of excitement. Bono jumped on to his soapbox, talking about how sometimes even the biggest bands are afraid of being eaten up by the "monster", and that PopMart was their way of eating up the monster first.
Highlights for me: MOFO, Streets (which is always the climax of any show) and suprisingly Discotheque, which jumped out of the lemon, hard and fast.
Lows: If God Would Send Will Send His Angels, has to be the Wild Horses of PopMart, and will have to be dropped soon...Wonderful song, not great live. Staring at the Sun was also really interesting, as an accoustic, Beatlesesque harmony driven song, really got the crowd going.
