All I have to say is KICK ASS!!!! Both shows ROCKED. Even though I had bad seats both nights, the energy in the air made me feel as though I was front row. The loudness and craziness of us Edmonton fans is dramatically unbelieveable. U2 definitely felt we loved them more than a little.
Why did U2 put With or Without (live from Edmonton) on their PopHeart single? Because the concert simply blew them away as much as it did us Edmonton fans.
First of all, the new POP tracks simply are meant to rock the stadium. Miami and Mofo were brilliantly remixed to the point they transformed into some huge mammoth monster eating Edmonton. IYWTVD and IGWSHA carried the emotion of U2 itself straight to our hearts.
Secondly, good 'ol favorites. WTSHNN, ISHFWILF and With or Without You simply were the best parts of the concerts. We all sang along like there was no end. Stand By Me was the most memorable part of the first concert. Here's how it went: We all sang along as loud as our voices could go, "stand by me" until the point when Bono showed off the biggest smile ever and said " WOW!, now thats a welcome. How come we never came here before? Because they didn't tells us about you guys, that's why". I'll never forget it as long as I live. Thanx Bono.
Thank you U2 for recognizing our love for you guys. Thanx for giving us an unforgettable weekend and bringing this community of souls together in your songs.
Anybody who attended the shows can feel free to email me anytime to simply discuss the past concert and how great it was.
