This was the best U2 show I've seen since 1987! It won't matter what drives you to U2, this is an awesome show - not to be missed. But for all of the old school U2 fans like me, this show is what we've missed about U2 live since the Joshua Tree tour. So, there is no question of the amount of money to spend on the ticket or if you should go...don't miss it, and go to more than one show if you can.
Bono's energy is amazing and the crowd was pumped by it on the first cord. It was really fun to see the people on the floor, especially inside of the heart, hopping and dancing. (I know it must have felt as if it were their own intimate show with U2.) I was on Lower Prom and could feel the conrete floor shaking beneath my feet! Literally.
The whole band is "on". Even Larry seemed to be more "outgoing" than usual. The crowd involvement is awesome! The new songs sound much better live than the studio versions. I would have liked to hear more of the old songs - one or two from October and a surprise from War would have made the show 110% perfect, but I left feeling I got my money's worth and wanting to do it again! I am highly considering travelling to another city to do the general-admission-inside-the-heart thing!
