Okay Feedback fans, the show was amazing. I didn't have to tell you that, did I? Perhaps you were there ten years ago when the boys played the Summit...no? Ah, that show didn't compare. Perhaps you were there nine years ago when the boys played the Astrodome? Not that time either? Not a big loss, it wasn't half as good. Bottom line...were you there four years ago when they again played the Astrodome? No worries...no way that show amounted to this one.
The concert was just amazing. You can't imagine how fantastic the band sounded, how crisp Bono's voice was. They were truly on. Houston is a gig that Bono just seems to love playing, as he brough a woman on stage during Bad (an odd move for that song) and brought a crowd-surfing guy on stage during WTSHNN. These were awesome surprises.
If you were at the Miami show, then of course you were one of the 18k people singing to every song. Needless to say, if you were at the Houston show, you were one of the 17 people singing. I can't tell you how awful it is to see the band play in Houston because most of the concert goers are boring, slouching jonny-come-lately fans and don't get into the show at all. It's a shame too, as I know the boys and Bono especially love playing Houston.
High-points of the show included WTSHNN, The Fly, Walk On and Bad. If you missed this show, please oh please try to catch them on this tour. It's the best it's ever been.
