Indy fans drink too much beer. At least they do on the club level. It seemed that a certain foursome was out either getting more beer or releasing all of the beer they had been drinking instead of enjoying the show. This was my first show (out of four) in the stands. The three previous shows were all spent either in the heart or on the tip of the heart and I have to say it was much better down there. (atleast it's hard standing in the back when you've been on the fence!)

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, the show had its definite highlights, but it wasn't the elevating experience like before.

The band seemed rushed. Did anyone else notice this? The usual band intros were quite curtailed, no elongated hyperbolic statements about the guys. The band seemed a bit confused, too, when they skipped In a Little While.

All I want is You was fabulous but I missed Bad. Play both!

I think the energy died when Conseco did not recognize songs like Gone and New York and the energy just flopped. Bono's voice was out during Stuck In a Moment and by the time they came out for One he had a towel wrapped around his neck and didn't even mention Jubilee 2000 like he has in the past.

The show was still better than an average rock show, though. Mysterious Ways and the conga line was great. Elevation was excellent, too as Bono added The Beatles "Birthday" as a coda.

Streets was great too with "Happy Birthday Bono!" on the back screens. That seemed to lift his spirits a bit.

Edge put his hands on Bono's shoulders to let him know "it's alright its alright" but everything didn't seem alright.

That said, I have decided I have to seem them again... I love this band.

Anyone have any extra Philly GA tickets??
